On the Tax Returns & Financials Workpapers - what is the purpose of the unlinked items on the Index?

The Index tab contains some items which are already hyperlinked to internal Workpapers (tabs) that need to be filled in for the client – if your client requires them. For example: Prepayments.

The other workpaper items referenced WITHOUT hyperlinks are optional for you as the accountant to choose to include these additional items on the Index with internal or external links to the source documents or new worksheets.

For example, the account could use “CA1” at the top of a 30 June Bank Statement and embed this document within these workpapers if preferred.

If a ChangeGPS Member uses Xero Workpapers instead to index and store their source documents, then they won’t need to use this indexing system, and they will only use the ChangeGPS workpapers that they need.
