How do I create a Blueprint structure chart using BGL's CAS 360 client data?

Blueprint by ChangeGPS extracts data from BGL’s CAS 360 and creates a structure chart using relationship information.

Blueprint is designed to help accountants provide structure advice to their clients by generating easy to understand and automated structure charts.

Traditionally, clients find it difficult to understand their business structure and a chart is great but can often take up to an hour to prepare.

Using BGL’s API, Blueprint will extract company, trust, super fund, officer, shareholder, beneficiary, unitholder and other entity relationships. Once the data is extracted, users will easily be able to modify the chart to meet their needs and the needs of their clients. Blueprint is designed to help clients instantly understand the accountant’s advice – making it much easier for them to say “yes” to structure advice.

How do I group companies and trusts together using labels in BGL?

Labels are used in CAS 360 to group companies and/or Trusts together for quick selection and reporting purposes e.g. Client Groups or Family Groups. See Client Labels for how to add companies to a label.

If you select a label in Blueprint, it will retrieve

  • all companies which have that label
  • all trusts which have that label
